Performance Bio
When I was a kid my goal was to become a pro guitar player. By some miracle, it actually happened! Tons of practice, amazing teachers throughout my youth and at New England Conservatory, hard work, sacrifice, a bit of luck and I’ve gotten to enjoy the career I dreamt about. I still wake up every day with the joy and drive I had three decades ago.
As a performing artist I regularly play with top-tier talent and Grammy, Tony, and Oscar winners like Yo-Yo Ma, Leslie Odom Jr., Keb’ Mo’, Cindy Blackman Santana, Lou Gosset Jr., Melinda Doolittle, Roomful of Teeth, Tessa Lark, Dom Flemons, David Santos, Barry Manilow, Nik Walker and others. I’ve also played over 4,000 live gigs with Boston’s Arch Street Band.
One of my proudest moments was playing for President Barack Obama and First
Lady Michelle Obama on live national television with the Boston Children’s Chorus as part of the Boston Marathon bombing memorial service. It was an incredibly somber and serious moment but was a poignant reminder that music can lift and heal in our darkest moments. It was an honor and I’m reminded of it almost every time I pick up my guitar.
I’ve been featured on every major US television network as well as Good Morning America, NPR, C-SPAN, TEDxBoston, From the Top, WGBH, and have played live in 168 countries via the Armed Forces Network.
My recording clients range from Non-Profits to Fortune 500 companies. Recent projects include SAP, Cadillac, Hal Leonard, Boston Children’s Chorus, Hewlett-Packard, London Symphony, Country Financial, New York Children’s Chorus.
I love finding that thing that makes your project shine. No matter how big or small my part is I am always in service to the song. If you need a time-tested, reliable player to drop in with confidence, figure it out without a lot of fuss and get the job done right, hit me up!
